Underwater reinterpreted

In the quiet of the bedroom, the air conditioner makes the fish hanging from above Bean’s bed float in dreamy spirals. We lie together, just the two of us in the semi-dark, waiting for sleep to settle over his energy-packed little body. Waiting to just be in the moment, breathing.

My father used to always come into my bedroom in the morning and turn my fan off because he couldn’t understand why I had to have the room so cool when I went to sleep. I love snuggling down under my sheets and blankets, even in the heat of summer, which your entry reminded me of.
I really like that image you posted, and I’m not a big fan of fish, either. But something about the colors and the swirls and stones…

Oh, I know this feeling. It’s that Zen I try to attain when waiting for Baby to fall asleep- as opposed to the foot-tapping-when-will-she-stop-moving-around-and-go-to-sleep?! kind of feeling.
Love the fish- My favorite “work” yet. Just beautiful.
