The shape of daily life.

Sunny day

Posted on | November 3, 2005 |

I put Bean in the backpack and went on an urban hike today. We went down along the waterfront, where the old railroad tracks used to be, and along the wetlands where wilderness is reclaiming the pavement. I took pictures and felt heady in all the sun and wind. Bean talked the whole time, cooing and singing, and then slept on the way back.

I was so pleased with how some of these turned out, I had to upload them straight here rather than posting them as a slideshow on flickr first.

If you look real close at the formations the 2 groups of birds make-you will see they form the shape of the “peace dove”-I think your photo’s are beautiful….

I like jakapk’s observation. I’m positive you’re a skilled photographer, but I have to hand it to the new camera you bought a few weeks ago…these are amazing! (I’m partial to the dog and the lake waves—so refreshing!)

What strikes me is the quality of the light in these photos — so clearly taken in that angled, expressive autumn sunshine.
