Self Portrait Tuesday: Reflective Surface # 2
Posted on | December 13, 2005 |
There we are, a whirl of color captured in a shop window. This is what we do every day: walk, bundled up, to get coffee. Snowflakes kissing our cheeks, the wool of our hats pulled close against our ears. This is me: the one who takes note of small things. The one who documents with words and images; the topography of our little family.

Hey, you look like me in that shot. Dave and I were just talking or better I was telling Dave how there really are no pictures of my and the boys. I am always the one with a camera in my face. Your pictures are always amazing and I love this one, especially. It is so happy.

Last year my husband and I moved from Burlington to Cleveland for work and reading your blog allows me daily glimpses of the the life that I miss. We’re headed to Vermont for the holidays and I am so looking forward to walking down Church Street with my toddler and husband, bundled up and snapping pictures. Thank you.

This is a gorgeous photo! Well, they all are. Your whole site is very beautiful. And I love your stories about walks, and you remind me of when I used to live places that have snow. Ah, snow.
Would you mind sharing what kind of stroller you have that is windproof & warm? Our little guy froze on our one long walk (he was VERY bundled but still got too cold). And it doesn’t even get that cold here in Portland. I’m afraid our walks are over until spring

You are all so generous with your comments, as always! Thank you
Larissa, we have this stroller: http://www.chariotcarriers.com/html_english/cougar1.htm and I can truly say it’s the most awesome piece of equiptment we own. It’s a running stroller, bike trailer, & stroller all in one. You can even get xcountry ski attachments for it!

Look at y’all in your matching jackets… So sweet.
I echo Beth’s comment. There aren’t enough photos of me and Baby because I’m always taking them. I know you’re making sure to get lots of pics with you and Bean, but here’s another reminder….
