nonsense

I’ve been truly miserable the past few days. Drowsy and doubled over with stomach pain. It’s not just the nausea, it’s the discomfort, the indigestion that is always and forever there. Everything disagrees.
And, I’m hormonal.
Proof?
I watched Dirty Dancing last night. It is quite possibly one of my favorite movies, although I couldn’t tell you when I ever watched the entire movie in one sitting. This became evident last night when I broke down into vast hormonal sobs at the scene where Johnny leaves Baby and that song “She’s Like the Wind” is playing. Yes, I sobbed.
DH thought I had lost my mind.
BUT. I discovered something then, that was rather momentous. The movie continues! That’s NOT THE END. For my entire adult life I somehow have managed to never see the end of Dirty Dancy. Ever.
And so I thought it was a sad movie, and Johnny leaves and Baby is heartbroken…

Your a dork pie. If Johnnie left for good…we would never get to the “Nobody puts Baby in the corner” line.

That is too funny!

Kate, I KNOW–and I always wondered what people were talking about with that line. I could never remember where it happened–because I’D NEVER SEEN THE END. So sad. And yes. BIG dork.

Ha! The ending is the best part! To think you thought it was a movie with a sad ending this whole time. On the other hand - what a great discovery! I almost wish I had never seen the ending so I could watch it for the first time.

How awful that you’re feeling that awful and hormonal, but how wonderful that you finally got to see the big finale and the “Nobody Puts Baby in a Corner” line and the moment when the schmuck who messed with her sister is finally outed. All is right with the world… I-i’ve had the time of my life, and I never felt this way before… I’ll be singing all day. Thanks for the laugh and the lift. And speaking of lifts… how great that you finally got to see her do the lift.

I just can’t decide which is funnier, this or your boy patting your boobs. I never knew pregnancy was such a rich source of comedy.

I also gasped. I’m so glad that you finally found that it’s not a sad movie afterall. The last song is the best. Especially the lift.
